Broadway Shows Expected to Return in September 2021 as Covid Vaccines Roll Out

Broadway shows plan to begin in September 2021, while Covid vaccinations are still being distributed worldwide. As of May 2021, more than a third of New Yorkers had acquired all of their vaccinations. According to Mayor Bill de Blasio, the city will reopen on July 1st, with the exception of Broadway theaters. The mayor and governor would have to wait for revised vaccination reports and formal feedback from the cast, crew, elected officials, and supporters.
