Home loans for Military Home loans for Nurses Home Loans for First Responders Teachers Home buying is a big financial commitment, but it doesn’t have to be done alone. The Heroes Home Advantage program connects service members with a network of real estate agents, lenders and other professionals to provide incentives throughout the process, including mortgage financing discounts, reduced closing costs and more. The goal is to honor their sacrifices by giving back with benefits they can enjoy now and for the rest of their lives. For more visit https://www.heroeshomeadvantage.com/.

The program is open to all first responders, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics and other emergency medical personnel. In order to qualify, applicants must meet certain income and credit requirements and provide a range of documents, such as pay stubs, tax returns and more. Additionally, applicants can often receive a down payment assistance rebate from their local state or county.

To learn more about the Hero Home Advantage program, I was joined in studio by C. David Cain, President and CEO of Heroes Home Advantage, a national program that offers military, law enforcement, firefighters, health care, emergency personnel and teachers a rebate or discount when purchasing real estate. We also talk about how the program works and some of the ways the heroes in our community can take advantage of it.

How Do I Get Started?

You can get started by filling out a simple form on the Homes for Heroes website. Once you’ve done that, a local specialist will be in touch to discuss your specific needs. They’ll then help you connect with a local Realtor and mortgage lender who are part of the program, which means they’re committed to serving heroes and their families.

In addition to helping you find a real estate agent and mortgage lender, Heroes Home Advantage will also give you a rebate on the services of a title insurance company. This includes the recording fees and transfer taxes that are typically included in the purchase price of a property. The only catch is that you’re required to use these providers in order to qualify for the program.

The Heroes Home Advantage program also offers a variety of additional discounts on other expenses, such as inspection and remodeling services fees, attorney fees, mortgage application fees and more. These are in addition to the 3.5% down payment assistance grant that many first responders can take advantage of when purchasing a home through the program. This money can be used toward the down payment or closing costs on a new mortgage loan. It’s important to note that these discounts are not available from every real estate company or lender, so it’s best to shop around to see which ones are participating.
